kevinmatsunaga.com is back online!

kevinmatsunaga.com is back online!
I used Samsung's AI on my Z Fold 6 to add a layer behind my Gundam model box photo.

Finally, after being busy for so long, I had time to bring kevinmatsunaga.com back online. It was online, but I "forgot" to copy over the image directory during one of my server migrations. Then, I encountered some container issues when I realized I could not get my domain to work with Ghost.

What a headache!

SaigonNezumi.com is also online

I am back now. I plan to blog two to three times per week now. I will also work on updating SaigonNezumi.com, my first blog, with a new theme. It still runs WordPress and is online on my other Linode server. I will migrate it to this server with Coolify. I aim to decouple WordPress and create several websites with older posts from SaigonNezumi.com. I will use Pixelmator AI's tool to improve some of my older photos from Vietnam.

kevinmatsunaga.com's focus

kevinmatsunaga.com will be a tech-heavy blog. I plan to write about Drupal, a popular PHP content management system I administer at my current job, and how to use it decoupled.

Since I am running Red Hat Enterprise Linux at work and Rocky Linux for my personal servers, I want to explore writing posts using them with containers. I am a Podman fan, but since I am using Coolify, I will also focus on Docker containers.

Containers have changed my life as an IT developer, and if I knew they worked just a year ago, many of the original posts for kevinmatsunaga.com would still be online.

Live and learn!

Conclusion

Anyway, that is it for today. My workday started at about 6:30 AM today and ended at about 5:30 PM. Though it is a three-day weekend, I plan to do some work tomorrow and Sunday morning before going to the gym. I am focusing on my second intranet migration from Windows to Linux.

Throughout September, I will write about how the migration from Windows is going.

To give you some background, I have nearly one year of experience managing Windows servers with no prior training. I had to learn on the job. The joy of being a Linux server administrator. You will find that in my upcoming posts if that does not make sense.

Have a good Friday. See you in my next post.
