Remembering my Kazakh host father's blue Zhiguli.

I am currently writing a book about my experiences with the US Peace Corps in Kazakhstan. I started remembering about the blue Zhiguli that my Kazakh host father owned during my first year in Kazakhstan. It picked me up at the Karatau train station in August 1997.

It was old but did its job. My host father sold it in 1998 to help raise money for my Kazakh host sister's tuition expenses.

I never had any photos of his car but I found a similar one online.
