A view of North Korea from the DMZ

In the summer of 2016, I made a short stopover to South Korea on my way to Shanghai, China. During this trip, I decided that I wanted to visit the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) so I could view North Korea. Due to some confusion, I was not able to book a tour of the Joint Security Area so I was not able to "walk" into North Korea.

Still, I got some good photos which were actually hard to get because of the large number of tourists. I had to fight my way to the front to get these shots.
